During 1966 Mike joined the Royal Shakespeare Company. In 1966 he appeared in a production of the Polish dramatist Slawomir Mrozek's "Tango" at the Aldwych where he played the part of Eddie. The play was directed by Trevor Nunn. The play was translated by Nicholas Bethell and adapted by Tom Stoppard. Choreography was by Pauline Grant. Design was by Timothy O'Brien and the light designer was David Read.
